Gary Jaffe has spent the last 25 years developing his transactional practice. He has specific expertise in all matters of financing transactions including tax free bonds, municipal finance, education and health care bonds as well as traditional Article 9 and real estate financings.

Professional Highlights

  • Corporate Finance
    Gary is widely known for his experience in assisting his clients with all facets of commercial lending. He has lectured extensively on both a local and national level regarding all types of real estate loans, secured transactions, letters of credit and non traditional loans. Gary is counsel to many of the areas leading financial institutions. These contacts have proven to be invaluable to his business clients as well.

  • Tax Free Finance
    Gary has developed significant expertise in structuring bank qualified financings for tax exempt organizations. He has structured numerous transactions on behalf of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, large synagogues, not-for-profit and charter schools, churches, senior living projects and youth development projects which have translated into the development and construction of over 20 million square feet dedicated to providing an enhanced ability of these organizations to provide programmatic services to their respective constituencies.

  • Transactional Matters
    In addition to representing some of the areas leading financial institutions, Gary has extensive experience in meeting the needs of both publicly held and privately held corporations, partnerships and other forms of business entities. Before entering private practice, Gary was associate general counsel to one of the largest health care providers in the region.

  • Municipal And Charitable Organizations
    Mr. Jaffe has served as Solicitor to a number of local governmental agencies. He also represents volunteer fire companies, religious and charitable organizations. The scope of his representation includes not only the financing needs of his clients, but the day to day legal matters involved in the orderly conduct of the business affairs of these clients.

    Gary has an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in their edition of preeminent attorneys in America. Gary is also rated and listed in The Red Book, the principal registry of qualified bond counsel.

Education
Gary received his Bachelor of Arts with a major concentration in political science and a minor in history from Temple University in 1978. He earned his Juris Doctor degree, Summa Cum Laude, from the Widener University School of Law in 1981. Personal
Gary is a member of the Board of Directors of numerous civic and charitable organizations. He also serves on the finance committees of many institutions. Gary lectures extensively on behalf of various bar associations as well as a lecturer at several colleges and universities. In his spare time, Gary is an avid sailor and is constantly seeking to improve his golf game.  Gary is married and has three children and three dogs. He is a life long resident of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
